Oswego Police have identified the individual recovered from the Fox River on Monday, April 21, 2025, as 35-year-old Lorenzo Gayosso Morales of Aurora. An autopsy was conducted Tuesday morning by the Kendall County Coroner’s Office, but the exact cause of death remains uncertain pending further investigation. Oswego Police have learned the man was last seen in unincorporated Kendall County on April 19 and was reported as a missing person to the Aurora Police Department on April 20. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating a bank robbery that took place Monday afternoon on Aurora’s far east side. According to the Bureau, a man wearing sunglasses, a black hoodie, and sweatpants with brown work boots walked into the Fifth-Third Bank located at 2998 Ogden Avenue in Aurora at around 2:30pm Monday and demanded money. The amount of money received by the suspect, if any, has not been disclosed. There was no report of violence during the incident. Oswego Police are investigating an incident involving a body that was found in the Fox River near the 100 block of West Washington Street Monday evening. At approximately 5:24pm Monday, Oswego Police were dispatched to the area after a caller reported seeing something unusual in the water. An unidentified 35-year-old man was fatally shot early Saturday morning on Aurora’s east side after what appears to be a dispute betweent the man and an acquaintance. At approximately 3:34am Saturday, Aurora Police officers responded to a report of a person with a weapon in the 400 block of Weston Avenue.
