A Yorkville man was seriously injured Thursday after his motorcycle crashed into a Honda CRV at the intersection of Route 34 and Orchard Road in Oswego. At approximately 12:42pm Thursday, Oswego Police responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 34 and Orchard Road involving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Honda CRV. The 19-year-old motorcyclist sustained a major head injury and other unknown injuries. A former DuPage county corrections deputy has been found guilty of sexual misconduct with a female inmate. DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin announced yesterday that Judge Joseph Bugos has found a former DuPage County Deputy Sheriff assigned to the Corrections Bureau guilty of having inappropriate sexual contact with a female prisoner. Judge Bugos returned his verdict in the case against Ricardo Hardy, 54, of Elgin, yesterday morning following a bench trial on June 11. The 35-year-old suspect was apprehended Wednesday in unincorporated Montgomery. An Oswego man and woman were arrested Monday after an investigation revealed that they have been breeding and training chickens for sport fighting. On June 22, detectives from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation for suspicion of violations of the Animals in Entertainment Act. Pursuant to this investigation, on Monday detectives from the Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of Harvey Road in Oswego Township wherein a significant number of chickens and additional evidence were recovered. At approximately 5:56pm on Sunday, officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment in the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue, where they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound who was in critical condition.
