Update: Authorities have provided an update on Saturday’s stabbing incident in Plainfield. It was initially reported to police that the boy who was killed was 8 years of age. He was 6. During an autopsy conducted Sunday, the forensic pathologist removed the knife from the abdomen of the boy and determined it was a twelve-inch serrated military style knife that has a seven-inch blade. A 31-year-old woman wa found dead in the Fox River Saturday afternoon in the 700 block of South River Street in Aurora. At approximately 3:30pm Saturday, Aurora Police officers were dispatched after the body of a 31-year-old deceased woman was discovered in the Fox River. Police indicate that, at this time, there is no indication of foul play. The identity of the woman is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. According to police, at approximately 11:38am Saturday morning deputies with the Will County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call from a woman who said that her landlord was attacking her with a knife. Aurora Police obtained an arrest warrant for a Skokie man in connection with bomb threats at Aurora Public Library District buildings in September. On September 12th and 14th, 2023, the Aurora Public Library District buildings at 101 South River Street, 233 South Constitution Drive, and 555 South Eola Road were evacuated and searched by police after the District received bomb threats. No devices were located.
