A 54-year-old Elgin man has been charged with child pornography involving pictures and videos of children under the age of 13 allegedly in his possession. Specifically, the man has been charged by Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser with the offenses of Child pornography – reproduce, victim younger than 13, Class X felony (6 counts); Child pornography – possess moving depiction, Class 2 felony (10 counts); Child pornography – possession, victim younger than 13, Class 2 felony (4 counts). A 16-year-old boy is dead after his bicycle was struck by a pickup truck on Aurora’s east side Monday afternoon. At approximately 4:00pm, Aurora police responded to Montgomery Road and Ogden Avenue for an accident involving a pickup truch and a bicycle. The preliminary investigation showed the driver of a 2008 Ford F-450 was traveling westbound Ogden Avenue and entered the right turn lane to travel north on Montgomery Road. A Cary woman has been found guilty of aggravated domiestic battery after kicking her mother in the face and breaking her orbital bone. Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser announced today that a jury has found 38-year-old Rebecca L. Wise guilty of the offenses of Aggravated domestic battery, great bodily harm – Class 2 felony (1 count) and Aggravated battery, victim 60 years or older – Class 3 felony (2 counts). Police found a man suffering from gunshot wounds on the Metra tracks in downtown Elgin early Saturday evening. At approximately 5:51pm, Elgin police officers responded to the Metra tracks aproximately 300 yards north of Kimball Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers located an adult male with injuries who was transported to a local hospital. No information was provided as to the condition of the victim. The Metra Police Department will be handling the investigation as the incident occurred in its jurisdiction. The Elgin Police Department will be assisting.
