Two Chicago women were arrested Wednesday as part of an investigation into prostitution activity at Hy Massage, 410 E. State Street in Geneva.
The arrests came after an investigation initiated following community reports of illicit activity at the business.
According to a press release from the City of Geneva, the 45-year-old owner of Hy Massage was taking into custody and charged with one count of prostitution, a Class A misdemeanor; and one count of operating as a massage therapist without a license, a Class A misdemeanor.
A 35-year-old woman was also charged with one count of operating as a massage therapist without a license.
Bpth women were transported to the Geneva Police Department for arrest processing and released with notice of an initial court appearance date on Tuesday, Feb. 20. Both women are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
