A former River Grove woman was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to murdering her boyfriend at the former Pheasant Run Resort. An Aurora man been put on electronic home monitoring after being charged with chid pornography. Yesterday, Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser announced that a 21-year old Aurora man has been charged with Child pornography, a Class X felony (11 counts) and Child pornography, a Class 2 felony (10 counts). According to prosectors, prior to May 22, 2023, the accused disseminated and possessed multiple child pornography videos and images. A jury has found an Elgin man guilty of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13. Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser announced yesterday that 38-year-old Sergio Varela was found guilty of the offenses of Predatory criminal sexual assault, a Class X felony (2 counts); and Aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony.
