The station, located at 2791 US 34 in Oswego, sold a $1 million winning scratch-off lottery ticket on Friday, just a month after selling a $300,000 winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket. A former River Grove woman was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to murdering her boyfriend at the former Pheasant Run Resort. An Aurora man been put on electronic home monitoring after being charged with chid pornography. Yesterday, Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser announced that a 21-year old Aurora man has been charged with Child pornography, a Class X felony (11 counts) and Child pornography, a Class 2 felony (10 counts). According to prosectors, prior to May 22, 2023, the accused disseminated and possessed multiple child pornography videos and images. The City of Aurora announced today that construction has begun on the new $360 million Hollywood Casino Aurora on the city’s south side. The casino will replace the casino currently located downtown on the river. The new casino resort is located at the Farnsworth Avenue & I-88 intersection, across from the Chicago Premium Outlets. A jury has found an Elgin man guilty of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13. Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser announced yesterday that 38-year-old Sergio Varela was found guilty of the offenses of Predatory criminal sexual assault, a Class X felony (2 counts); and Aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony. An Aurora woman who lead police on a high-speed chase down I-88 early Saturday morning has been denied pre-trial release.
