Two Carpentersville men have been arrested in relation to a shooting Sunday evening that left a man hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. At 6:42pm Sunday evening, Elgin police officers responded to the 500 block of North McLean Boulevard for a reported shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male subject with apparent non-life-threatening injuries who was subsequently transported to an area hospital. The identity of the injured man has not been released. After an investigation of the incident, two 18-year-old males from Carpentserville were arrested and each charged by the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office. The first was charged…

A 29-year-old West Chicago man is in custody after allegedly selling cocaine to an undercover Naperville police officer in downtown Naperville. As part of a wider initiative, the Naperville Police Department had developed the suspect as a potential source of illegal narcotics in the DuPage County area. On May 6, the suspect allegedly sold approximately 2.5 grams of cocaine to an undercover Naperville police officer while in a vehicle in downtown Naperville. On Tuesday, June 11, the Lake Geneva Cruise Line will hold their annual tryout to choose this year’s mail delivery jumpers aboard the U.S. Mailboat Walworth. According to the National Weather Service, unseasonably warm, humid and breezy conditions today will give way to the threat of severe thunderstorms tonight. An outbreak of dangerous severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes and widespread damaging winds is expected between 7pm and 1am this evening for the Fox Valley region. The NWS urges that residents have multiple ways to receive severe weather warnings and review your severe weather safety plans! A 32-year-old Naperville man is dead after his motorcycle crashed with an SUV on the east side of Naperville Friday evening. At 6:43pm Friday evening, the Naperville Police and Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the 1600 block of 77th Street for a traffic crash with injuries. The crash involved a black motorcycle and a white sports utility vehicle. Despite a good Samaritan’s lifesaving efforts, the driver of the motorcycle, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead on scene.
