Three teenagers are in hospital with serious injuries, some life-threatening, after losing control of the car they were riding in and crashing violently into a tree near Hampshire. A 65-year-old Elgin man is in custody after having been charged with murder in the stabbing death of a woman at his home Wednesday. Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser and Elgin Chief of Police Ana Z. Lalley announced today that the accused is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, a Class M felony. Naperville police are investigating the stabbing death of a woman in the tony Naperville neighborhood of White Eagle Saturday. Police were dispatched Saturday morning to a home in the 2500 block of Saddlebrook Drive where they discovered an adult female suffering from several apparent stab wounds. The Naperville Fire Department responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
