A 48-year-old DeKalb man is dead after his motorcycle slammed into the side of a car attempting to make a left turn across Orchard Road in Aurora Friday evening. According to a preliminary investigation, at around 6:40pm Friday, a 2009 Nissan Vera was traveling northbound on Orchard Road and attempted to make a left turn onto Sullivan Road. A 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound on Orchard Road and was unable to stop while the Nissan was completing its turn. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the Nissan. Update as of 6:29pm: The suspected shooter at today’s rally was killed by Secret Service agents during the gunfire. In addition, AP confirms that an attendee of the rally died from gunshot wounds believed to be from the assassination attempt. The Trump campaign announced the President has been treated at a local hospital and is “fine.” As many as 5 gunshots rang out just as former President Donald Trump began speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania. In a press release today, the Kane County Coroner identified the victim in Monday’s fatal shooting in Elgin involving an off-duty Kane County Sheriff’s deputy as 18-year-old Tyquaze Nicolas from South Elgin. Toxicology tests are in process. The preliminary cause of death is is consistent with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the press release.
