Aurora Police arrested and charged a 20-year-old man with first-degree murder after his mother was found dead in an apartment on Friday morning. At approximately 8:30 a.m., Aurora Police’s 911 Telecommunications Center received a call from a man who reported that his brother ha arrived at his home and told him that he had done something bad to their mother. 43-year-old Ellihue Pegues, Jr., just couldn’t learn the lesson, it would seem. Prohibited from contacting his former girlfriend or going near her home by a protective order as well as a condition of bond from an earlier offense, last September Pegues decided to go to her home in Aurora anyway, whereupon he held her by the throat until the victim’s daughter pepper-sprayed him in the face. A few days later, Pegues again went to the victim’s home and pepper-sprayed the victim and her daughter in the face. A 26-year-old Chicago man was sentenced to 18 years in prison on two counts of Child Pornography related arising from his sexual encounters with a 15-year-old Algonquin victim. On Tuesday, Rafael Brill pleaded guilty to the charges, as well as an addition charge of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, in exchange for the dropping of additional charges related to the improper relationship. A 36-year-old Yorkville man was sentenced to 13 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Criminal Sexual Assault and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse. The incident occurred in June 2021when the 15-year-old victim agreed to babysit for the 6-year-old son of Graham Moss and his wife while they went out for the evening. When Moss and his wife returned, the victim was allowed to sleep in a spare bedroom. In the early morning hours, Moss quietly entered the room where the victim was asleep. As the saying goes, nothing good happens after midnight. This past Sunday at 3:00 AM, the West Dundee Police Department was dispatched to the Speedway Gas Station at 115 N. 8th Street in West Dundee for a vehicle that struck the building. Officers discovered a red 2008, Chevrolet HHR on its side up against the north exterior wall of the Speedway Convenience Store. The driver, 23-year-old Victor Jimenez-Moreno of Schaumburg, showed signs of intoxication and was arrested. He was issued four traffic citations, including DUI, and released on bond.
