Update: The City of Naperville reported on the damage Friday, indicating that no injuries or residential structural damage have been reported; however, isolated reports of storm damage, mainly damaged trees, have been made throughout south Naperville. The majority of the damage was reported along the Route 59 corridor from approximately White Eagle Drive south past Hassert Boulevard. This includes tree damage as well as roof damage to and multiple gas leaks within a commercial building near the intersection of Route 59 and 95th Street. An F-150 pickup truck rammed into the back of a car at a busy intersection on Route 25 in Carpentersville Tuesday, pushing the car into traffic and causing a chain-reaction collision that left one man dead and sent four others to the hospital. Naperville Police have arrested a Chicago man for attempted murder among other charges following an investigation into a June 5 stabbing at a health club in the 3000 block of South Route 59 in Naperville. The 65-year-old subject is charged with attempt first-degree murder, armed robbery, three counts of aggravated battery, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, burglary and possession of burglary tools.
