A Lombard man is dead after driving his vehicle into a utility pole while trying elude Glen Ellyn police. According to a release by the Glen Ellyn Police Department, on Friday evening at approximately 9pm, a Glen Ellyn police officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop after witnessing a traffic violation near the intersection of Main Street and Geneva Avenue. An unidentified man was shot in Phillips Park Saturday evening, according to Aurora Police. Police received a report of shots fired at Phillips Park Saturday evening. Officers arrived at the scene and began speaking to witnesses. Subsequently, a gunshot victim was reported to police by an area hospital. The victim was identified only as an adult male. The victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury and is reported to be in stable condition. No suspects have been taken into custody and the investigation of the incident is still on-going.
