On March 24, 2019, Thomas Summerwill of Campton Hills beat his mother to death with a baseball bat. According to prosecutors, Mary Bridget Summerwill’s head and body received numerous injuries, one so severe that brain matter was observed. Thomas was in his home that evening, and had apparently been drinking (his blood alcohol content was .270%) and smoking (his blood registered traces of marijuana). A Chicago man has been arrested and charged with attempting to rob a beverage supply delivery driver in Naperville with a 9mm semi-automatic rifle yesterday. The 31 year-old man, who lives on Kilpatrick Street in Chicago, has been charged with one count of Attempt Armed Robbery with a Firearm, (Class 1 Felony), and Unlawful Use of Weapon by a Felon (Class 3 Felony).  Bond was set at $750,000 with 10% to apply. A Naperville man was killed Monday afternoon when his motorcycle crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Washington Street and Royce Road in Naperville. At approximately 3:34 PM, the Naperville Police Department and Fire Department responded to the area of Washington Street and Royce Road for a vehicle crash involving a 2007 Black Honda motorcycle driven by a 29-year-old male out of Naperville and a 2001 Silver Dodge Durango driven by a 54-year-old female out of Bolingbrook. 33-year-old Antoinette Perkins has agreed to a sentence of 30 months of probation in exchange for a guilty plea to the offense of official misconduct, Class 3 felony. Kane County Associate Judge Salvatore LoPiccolo accepted the plea. In addition to the probation term, Perkins must complete 100 hours of community service by Jan. 15, 2024, and she forfeits any future government employment, and she is to have no contact with the former Illinois Youth Center inmate. 55-year-old José L. Dominguez has agreed to a sentence of 25 years’ imprisonment in the Illinois Department of Corrections in exchange for a guilty plea to the offenses of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, Class X felony, and aggravated criminal sexual abuse, Class 2 felony. Kane County Judge Alice C. Tracy accepted the plea. Kane County Assistant State’s Attorney Matthew Rodgers stated in court that between January 2011 and August 2018 Dominguez sexually abused two victims.
