The man who was shot by an Aurora police officer last Friday after rushing the officer with knives has been charged with multiple felonies. Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser announced yesterday afternoon that the suspect has been charged with: A judge signed a warrant for the suspect’s arrest and set his bail at $750,000 with 10 percent ($75,000) to apply for bond. A rash of so-called “ruse” burglaries in Elgin has prompted the Elgin Police Department to issue a warning to residents about fake utility workers. Most recently, these crews have been asking to enter homes to check for issues with electricity and repair down wires. According to EPD, there have been four such incidents and two attempts since January 26.
