Naperville North High School went on “soft lockdown” at around 9am this morning due to an undisclosed threat against the school. A soft lockdown primarily means the no movement into or out of the school is allowed. The Naperville Police Department recently completed two independent child pornography investigations, resulting in the arrests of two Naperville men. On Oct. 7, 2021 the police arrested a 41 year-old Naperville man who lives in the 800 block of Mt. Vernon Court in Naperville. He has been charged with 10 felony counts (Class X) of Child Pornography-Reproduce or Distribute-Video. This investigation was initiated in January of 2021 after the NPD received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Sometimes being a good cop is just paying attention. Such was the case at about 2am this morning in Naperville when an eagle-eyed police officer noticed a car with two different license plates in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue. A quick check revealed that both license plates were stolen, and further investigation revealed that the car was stolen as well.
