Naperville police are investigating an armed robbery of The Dollar Tree at 1550 N. Rt. 59 that took place Thursday morning. At approximately 9 a.m. on Dec. 16, 2021, Naperville Police Officers responded to the Dollar Tree at 1550 N. Rt.59 for a report of an armed robbery. The preliminary investigation indicated one suspect entered the business displaying a knife. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot. No one was injured. Aurora West High School went on “hold in place” status this morning as a result of nationwide school threats made on social video platform TikTok and the circulation throughout the high school of a photo showing a gun held by what appears to be a student standing in a bathroom.
