A Kane County jury found José A. Tamayo guilty of the offense of predatory criminal sexual assault, Class X felony, 3 counts, and aggravated criminal sexual abuse, 4 counts. Two people were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries resulting from a violent three-car crash in Dundee Township yesterday morning. According to a report from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 11:30AM Thursday morning, a Chevrolet Camaro driven by a 36 year-old male from Crystal Lake was southbound on Route 31 attempting to pass a vehicle. During the evening of August 10, 2021, 51 year-old Jim Wiesner was shot and killed by North Aurora police after allegedly pointing a gun at three officers. The encounter resulted from a call by Wiesner’s fiancée to police indicating that he was “acting erratically.” Officers went to Wiesner’s home in the 400 block of Pinecreek Drive in North Aurora, were let in by the fiancée and were greeted by Wiesner brandishing a gun, according to police reports. 42-year-old Serafin A. Castellanos will spend the rest of his life in prison. Kane County Judge Alice C. Update: 12:53pm – The St. Charles Police have confirmed a shooting inside an apartment in the 1700 block of Covington Court in St. Charles. Officers arrived at the scene and found a 24-year-old female with two apparent gunshot wounds. Officers also learned that a possible offender had left the apartment just prior to their arrival.
