Dino Safari announced Friday that, due to the overwhelming response by Chicagoland families, its Aurora engagement is being extended at the Fox Valley Mall through Sunday, June 6, 2021.

“The tremendous excitement we have been receiving from Chicagoland residents has been incredible,” says Tom Zaller, producer of Dino Safari and CEO & President of Imagine Exhibitions. “We are humbled by the response and want to accommodate as many families as possible.”

Dino Safari, a unique travelling exhibit created by Atlanta-based Imagine Exhibitions, Inc., has been resident at the Fox Valley Mall since May 7.

During the unique drive-through exhibit, families join 35 full-scale, moving, scientifically accurate dinosaurs on a prehistoric globetrotting expedition. Throughout the journey, which features an easy-access in-car audio guide, guests experience simulated earthquakes, are eye-witnesses to fierce dinosaur battles, and may even need to save a baby dinosaur’s life.

Visitors learn how dinosaurs evolved over time, where they lived on Earth, and what paleontologists have discovered about how they ate, moved and behaved.

Each car receives one “Survival Pack” that includes take-home activities related to the experience.

Tickets are sold on a per-vehicle basis and prices start at $49.95 (for a seven-passenger vehicle). Tickets are on sale at www.dinosafari.com.

Through June 6, the exhibit will be open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12pm – 8pm, and Fridays through Sundays from 9am-9pm.  The exhibit will also be open on Memorial Day from 9am to 9pm.
