The Copley Theatre in Aurora will continue its new “Copley Comedy Series” on Saturday, July 25, with comedians Calvin Evans and Chris Trani. Show starts at 8pm.
Chicago native Calvin Evans’ comedy career began during his time at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana while obtaining his degree in Sport Management. He brought his talents back home and was quickly named Chicago’s Next Big Comic by WGN. His half hour “Unprotected Sets” special released in 2020 on EPIX and his debut comedy album B.O.R.N is available on all streaming platforms.
Chris Trani is is a fantastic Chicago comic and the producer of The House of Blues stand-up comedy show on Thursday nights in downtown Chicago. He’s also a regular at Zanies, The Laugh Factory, The Funny Bone & more. Chris has opened for Ken Flores, Jon Lovitz and regularly opens for David Koechner of The Office & Anchorman. Chris integrates all forms of comedy into his act: stand-up, storytelling, crowd work, one-liners; and if need be, can do it all in Spanish (más o menos!).
