North Central College Department of Theatre will present “Assassins,” directed by Landree Fleming with music direction by Ellie Kahn, this Thursday thru Sunday in the Theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall.
From John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald, writers Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman bend the rules of time and space, taking us on a nightmarish roller coaster ride in which assassins and would-be assassins from different historical periods meet, interact and inspire each other to harrowing acts in the name of the American Dream.
A multiple Tony Award-winning theatrical tour-de-force, “Assassins” combines Sondheim’s signature blend of intelligently stunning lyrics and beautiful music.
Performances run March 27, 28 and 29 at 7:30 p.m., and March 29 and 30 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $12; call 630-637-SHOW (7469) or visit northcentralcollege.edu/show.
Meiley-Swallow Hall is located at 31 South Ellsworth Street in Naperville.
