Special shows, a grand parade and free ice cream highlight the 100th Birthday Celebration of The Arcada Theatre in downtown Chicago on Sunday, September 6.
Priscilla Presley Meet & Greet
At 1pm Priscilla Presley will be on the theatre stage for some “behind the scenes” stories told by Priscilla followed by a Q&A session moderated by business owner and theatre operator, Ron Onesti. There will be an opportunity for photos with Priscilla after the Q&A session.
Free Ice Cream Cones!
In celebration of the Arcada’s 100th Birthday – and 125 years of Colonial Ice Cream – free ice cream will be available to the first 500 people beginning at 2PM in Rock ‘N Za, located in the lobby of the Arcada Theatre.
Grand Parade
A grand parade through the downtown streets of St. Charles begins at 3pm.. TWIST with Chubby Checker…Party like Ferris Bueller…Celebrate rock and roll with Vinny Appice (of Black Sabbath and Dio) and Carmine Appice (of Vanilla Fudge)…and cheer, dance and celebrate with the community and special guests.
The parade kicks off just west of the Fox River and proceeds past the theatre. This is a free event, and everyone is invited to attend.
History of Rock N Roll Concert
This special show will showcase music from the past 100 years, with magnificent highlights from every decade. Special guests include Chubby Checker, Priscilla Presley, Vinny Appice (of Black Sabbath and Dio) and Carmine Appice (of Vanilla Fudge).
