Long-time St. Charles icon Rowena Zimmers, Founder and former President of ALE Solutions, is opening a new chapter in temporary housing with ZIMS Housing, serving insurance carriers, adjusters, catastrophe teams and displaced families nationwide.

ZIMS may be a new name, but its leaders have spent decades helping shape how temporary housing serves the insurance industry. Their knowledge was built in the field, supporting families and insurance professionals through everyday claims and major catastrophes. Robert Zimmers serves as Chief Executive Officer and Christa Landgraf as Executive Vice President. Together, the team shares a clear promise: “People First. Always.”

“I still like to build. And I’m not finished,” said Zimmers. “Because temporary housing isn’t simply about finding someone a place to stay. It’s about helping people feel at home when they can’t be home.”

The company’s mission is to restore personal accountability to temporary housing—serving displaced families, supporting adjusters and stewarding every claim with exceptional care. ZIMS is bringing temporary housing back to what it was always meant to be about: the policyholder. Its approach pairs trusted relationships and practical wisdom with technology that supports personal connection.

Zimmers began her temporary housing career in 1995 and founded ALE Solutions in the basement of her family’s home in 2001. Over the following two decades, she built the business into a national temporary housing provider with hundreds of employees, serving approximately 60,000 displaced families annually. The company was sold in 2021.
