The biggest 4th of July Party is about to take place next weekend in Aurora.
FIREWORKS
Aurora celebrates Independence Day by living up to its “City of Lights” name with a spectacular fireworks display on the evening of Friday, July 3rd, in downtown Aurora.
Best viewing is available at Riveredge Park and McCullough Park. Food Trucks will be located at Wilder Park and McCullough Park. Music will bring the crowd alive at both locations.
PARADE
The City of Aurora’s Annual 4th of July Parade will step-off at 10am on Saturday, July 4, in downtown Aurora.
Route: The Parade will begin at the intersection of Benton St. and Broadway St. March north on Broadway St. (Rt. 25) to Downer Pl. March west on Downer Pl. to Middle Ave. where the Parade will conclude. The Reviewing Stand will be placed in front of the David L. Pierce Art and History Center, located at 20 East Downer Place, for best viewing.
Immediately following the parade, the Grand Army of the Republic Military Museum will open its latest exhibit, America’s 250th: How the G.A.R. Shaped Our Nation, to further commemorate America’s 250th Anniversary, as well as the 149th anniversary of the laying of the Museum’s cornerstone.
