Spend your summer making long-lasting memories at the Naperville Park District’s historic Centennial Beach and Paddleboat Quarry.
Enjoy a picturesque beach day and an entertaining watercraft ride right in the heart of Naperville. Whether it’s building a sandcastle near the water at Centennial Beach, or spending time with friends and family paddling or peddling away in the quarry, these Park District facilities are perfect summer “staycation” destinations for residents and visitors of all ages.
The Paddleboat Quarry provides a unique experience where visitors can cruise on the water right in the middle of the suburbs. Located along the Naperville Riverwalk and adjacent to Rotary Hill, visitors can board a rented paddleboat, kayak or paddleboard for 20-minute or 40-minute rides. Looking to explore the quarry with your friends? Paddleboats seat up to four people and one and two-person kayaks are available. If you want to ride solo, enjoy kayaking or paddleboarding by yourself. All watercraft must be operated by individuals 13 years of age or older. Parents or guardians must accompany anyone under 18 years old, and rental fees are required.

Centennial Beach, located within a limestone quarry-turned-public swimming spot, has been one of the most unique and hottest summer destinations in Naperville since 1931. Welcoming thousands of beachgoers each year, visitors can cool off in the zero-depth entry, swim to the depths of 15-feet, enjoy refreshing ice cream from Centennial Grill, play bags or sand volleyball, or just relax. If you’re searching for the perfect place near Downtown Naperville to spend a summer day or looking to become a Beach regular with a seasonal membership, Centennial Beach fits perfectly into any summer agenda. Daily passes and season memberships are available for purchase at www.napervilleparks.org/centennialbeach.
