Following an extensive investigation by the Illinois State Police Kendall County Police Assistance Team (KCPAT), a 28-year-old Aurora man was arrested for multiple drug-related felony offenses on Monday.
On Monday, KCPAT Officers executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in the 900 block of Rural Street in Aurora. Officers recovered a firearm, seized over 120 grams of cocaine, over 2,000 grams of illegal cannabis and cannabis products, and suspected MDMA pills. Officers took the suspetct into custody on the scene.
KCPAT presented the case to the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office and the subject was charged with Armed Violence (a Class X Felony); Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent (a Class X Felony); Unlawful Possession of a Cannabis with Intent (a Class 1 Felony); Unlawful Possession of Firearm with No FOID (a Class 3 Felony); Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (a Class 1 Felony); Unlawful Possession of Cannabis (aClass 2 Felony); Possession of MDMA with Intent (a Class 2 Felony); Possession of MDMA (a Class 1 Felony); and Possession of Psilocybin (a Class 4 Felony).
The suspect being held at the Kane County Jail ahead of his pre-trial hearing.
