This past weekend was a violent one the City of Aurora, with two separate stabbing incidents sending three people to the hospital.
On Saturday at approximately 5:30pm, Aurora Police responded to a reported stabbing inside a residence in the 500 block of Glenview Avenue where officers found an adult male victim with stab wounds. The officers provided emergency aid until he victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation indicated the incident resulted from a sudden altercation between acquaintances inside the home. A 25-year-old Aurora man was taken into custody at the scene and charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
On Sunday at approximately 8:00pm, police were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of Hammond Avenue for a reported stabbing. Officers encountered two adult victims with stab-related injuries and coordinated medical care until both were transported to area hospitals.
The investigation determined the incident stemmed from a domestic-related situation involving a behavioral health crisis inside the home. A 23-year-old Aurora man was arrested at the scene and charged with attempt first degree murder, multiple counts of aggravated domestic battery, and domestic battery.
