Batavia’s Block Party & Taste of Batavia will return to give summer a warm farewell on Sunday, August 31 from 4pm to 9pm at Peg Bond Center.
The party includes live music, a Car Show, Pie Bake-off, and free kids area.
Tickets are purchased onsite the day of the event. Adults are $5 and kids are Free. No pets allowed.
Don’t be afraid to take whisks in the Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation Pie-Bake off. The BMCF Pie Bake-Off is open to all bakers. There will be three categories for judging — fruit pies, non-fruit pies, and youth (ages 14 and under). Pies will be assessed based on appearance, crust, filling, and overall flavor and taste.
- When? Drop pies off between 3:00-3:30 pm. Judging will take place 3:45-4:30 pm and the winners will be announced at 4:45 pm.
- Registration: There will be three categories: fruit pies, non-fruit pies, and youth (ages 14 and under). Pie Bake-Off registration fee is $10 per baker. Each baker may enter one or more pies. Register HERE. Pie Bake Off registration fee DOES NOT include the $5 entrance fee for the Downtown Batavia Block Party & Taste of Batavia. Registration will close on August 31, 2025 at 3:20 pm.

Last year, lots of wonderful cars were on display, representing 100 years of road history from the 1920s to the 2020s. The Batavia Depot Museum is once again teaming up with Batavia MainStreet’s Block Party for a fun day of celebrating community and the history that drives past us on the roads each day. Check out the car show for free and drop in to the other activities of Block Party (live music and yummy local eats) for $5. The Batavia Depot Museum will have extended hours and the museum’s famous open-air trolley will also be on display.
Prizes! There will public voting for “People’s Choice” and “History on the Road.”
Where? Houston St. Batavia, IL
When? Sunday, August 31, 2025 from 3-7 pm. (Vehicle load in at 2 pm)
Cost? $15 registration fee/vehicle. Please register your vehicle HERE at or stop by the museum during open hours. The car show is free to look or $5 to enter Block Party.
