A 28-year-old Aurora man was killed early Sunday morning when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle near Washington Junior High School in Naperville and crashed into a small retaining wall.
At approximately 1:52am Sunday, the Naperville Police and Fire Departments responded to the intersection of Washington Street and School Street for a report of a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle where they found a blue 2022 Yamaha motorcycle on its side with heavy damage. The operator of the motorcycle was unresponsive.
Life-saving measures were attempted, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the victim was traveling northbound on Washington Street near Douglas Avenue when his motorcycle left the roadway and slid on its side before striking a small retaining wall.
No information as to the cause of the accident is available at this time.
