One person was killed and two others hospitalized in a multi-vehicle crash on Randall Road in Elgin Monday afternoon.
At approximately 2:37 p.m., Elgin police officers responded to a motor vehicle crash involving multiple vehicles on South Randall Road, south of South Street. The preliminary investigation indicates that a head-on collision occurred in the northbound lanes of Randall Road involving a dump truck and an SUV. The crash resulted in one of the drivers being pronounced deceased on scene.
Two additional individuals were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
