Note: This is the latest in a weekly series from Anderson Humane spotlighting wonderful animals currently looking for a “forever home.” We encourage you to support Anderson Humane and it’s tireless efforts to care for our animal friends and place them in loving homes. SQUASH

Meet Squash, the magnificent marmalade monarch of his domain! This big, handsome orange tabby prefers to reign supreme as the sole feline ruler of the household. While he may take a moment to warm up to new faces, once you’re in his inner circle, you’ll discover a loyal and loving companion.

Squash is a playful soul with a particular fondness for wand toys – dangle one of those irresistible feathered contraptions in front of him, and watch him unleash his inner kitten! A sprinkle of catnip also sends him into a state of pure feline bliss. When he’s not chasing toys, you can find him glued to the window, indulging in his favorite pastime: birdwatching (or any other fascinating outdoor activity that catches his eye). And when a window view isn’t available? No problem! Squash is perfectly content to curl up in front of a screen displaying his favorite “cat TV” programs.

While Squash adores his people, he’s a cat who appreciates his personal space and can become easily overstimulated. He thrives in a calm and predictable environment where he can relax and be his regal self. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who enjoys playtime, window gazing, and the occasional catnip-fueled frenzy (on his terms, of course!), then Squash might just be the purrfect addition to your life.

For more information email [email protected] or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 40, and the staff will be happy to help you.

Squash is an All-Star cat! My adoption comes with some extra benefits at time of adoption! His adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and he will go home with a few enrichment goodies to help get him off to a good start! To schedule an appointment to meet Squash, email [email protected] (please include your name and phone number), and the staff will be happy to help you!

Our cats and kittens go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

    PATCHES

Patches is a sweet and friendlyCatahoula Cattle Dog mix who’s always excited to make new friends! With his cheerful personality and endless enthusiasm, he’s the kind of dog who’ll greet everyone with a wagging tail and a big smile. Whether it’s meeting new people or discovering new toys, Patches is always ready to bring joy and love into every moment.

Patches is a playful pup with boundless energy! He loves to run, jump, and chase after anything that moves. But don’t let his excitement fool you-he’s also a gentle and affectionate companion, always ready for cuddles after a fun play session.

Friendly, playful, and full of energy, Patches is the perfect furry friend who makes every day a little brighter!

Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email [email protected] or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
