2001 – Dr. Wazio opens a second office in St. Charles after purchasing the practice from another retiring orthodontist. The St. Charles office was originally built in 1922 and has been an orthodontic office since 1970 and features the work of photographer, Brian DeWolf.

New Batavia Location
Dr. Wazio recently opened his new 2850 square foot office in Batavia at the end of May 2024 after a lengthy design and construction period to create his vision of a dental orthodontic facility that offers a modern feel with an open floor plan to facilitate a comfortable and efficient patient experience.
The wood framed building with steel framing accents has an exterior façade finished with Hardie® cedar tone siding, light buff color masonry and black anodized window storefronts. Storefront windows were chosen for a natural lighting aspect and to allow patients to look outside and the public to see inside.

Other unique features include a metal pitched roof that gives the building a distinctive look and vaulted ceilings in the reception area which give a spacious feel as you walk through the hallway.
Everything from the layout of the rooms, lighting, furniture, wall coverings, storage, interior and exterior signage were meticulously chosen.
The Batavia office also has 5 dental chairs, one private consultation room utilized for initial exams and one private operatory room with a treatment chair as well as an itero 3D scanner which does away with having to take impressions of your teeth and digital radiography equipment.
Wazio Orthodontics also recently finished a metal sculpture commissioned by local sculptor, Bill McGrath and greets the patients as they enter the Batavia office.
“We had our challenges during the process that included addressing concerns about the roof design, drainage in the parking lot and other matters that arose with the city, architect, contractor, and the engineer. It just took longer than I expected. But now that it’s complete, I would not change a thing.”

Your First Visit
Your first visit is a 60 minute appointment which will allow us to gather some information and perform a clinical examination. When you call to schedule this appointment, you will be asked to provide some personal information, along with any orthodontic insurance coverage you may have so that we can verify your benefits prior to your visit and provide you with the most accurate estimate.
(St. Charles Location)
Once Dr. Wazio has completed his clinical examination, a recommendation will be made as how to proceed. If treatment is indicated, an approximate estimate of the time and fees involved for the specified treatment and any insurance benefits will also be provided. The next step is to gather the appropriate diagnostic records which includes x-rays, photographs of the face and teeth and a complete intraoral and extraoral examination, most times this can be completed as part of the initial visit.
Patients who do not require treatment at this time will be asked to return for periodic follow up examinations until such time as treatment is indicated. In either case, a letter will be sent to your general dentist summarizing the results of the visit for their records.
