Get your Valentine on early with world-renowned “one-man cello orchestra” Ian Maksin at a special performance in the intimate setting of the Moonlight Theatre in St. Charles.
Showtime is 7pm.
Maksin will serenade you with a unique selection of love songs from around the globe, taking you on a musical journey to some of the world’s most romantic destinations—Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Anatolia, and beyond. Many of the songs will be prepared by Maksin specially for this concert, complementing his vast repertoire of over 300 songs in languages like Spanish, French, Italian, Arabic, Armenian, Farsi, Polish, Ukrainian, Kyrgyz, and more. Don’t miss this unforgettable evening of music, whether you come with a loved one, friends, or on your own!
Breaking boundaries both musical and geographical, Maskin has created his own unique style by blending elements of different genres and traditional music from around the globe in a new way using his cello as the main unifying force.
In addition to cello, he used an electronic device called the loop pedal, which allows him to create “loops” or layers by recording and replaying his own playing in real time.
Tickets start at $30 ($40 at the door) and are available here.
The Moonlight Theatre is located at 7 South 2nd Avenue in St. Charles.
