Geneva Winery, fresh off it’s recent expansion into Batavia, is on the move again as it has announced the acquisition of Vintage 53 Wine, Cocktail and Charcuterie Bar in downtown St. Charles.
In a Facebook post today, the local wine retailer stated that the “exciting partnership brings together the best of both worlds, creating a perfect pairing of two beloved brands.”
“Vintage 53 is known for its welcoming atmosphere, where a passion for exceptional wine, artisan cheese, and good company comes together,” the post continued. “At our cozy wine bar, you’ll find a handpicked selection of wines ranging from timeless classics to rare finds, complemented by signature cocktails and craft beers. The on-site cheese shop features artisanal choices that pair beautifully with your beverage or make for a delightful standalone snack.”
“For those on the move, we offer curated to-go trays, ideal for picnics, gatherings, or special events. Our stylish serving boards and accessories have become a local favorite for hosts and gift-givers alike. At Vintage 53, it’s all about savoring life’s simple pleasures, whether you’re enjoying a glass at the bar or taking a taste of the experience home.”
As a result of the merger, Mario Grado, owner of Vintage 53, will become General Manager, while proprietary product offerings will be shared between Vintage 53 and Geneva Winery’s two current locations in Geneva and Batavia.
