A 35-year-old Wheaton woman is dead after her vehicle was struck by a Ford Bronco at the intersection of South Naper Boulevard and Hobson Road in Naperville Wednesday evening.
According to Naperville police, at approximately 8pm Wednesday the woman, identified as Sarah A. Jelgerhuis, was attempting to turn left from southbound Naper Boulevard towards eastbound Hobson Road when her vehicle was struck by a 2023 Ford Bronco driven by a 17-year-old female from Naperville, who was traveling northbound on Naper Boulevard. Ms. Jelgerhuis’ vehicle, a 2020 NIssan Kicks, came to rest north of the intersection, partially submerged in a pond.
Ms. Jelgerhuis was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
