The Piazza in Aurora presents a full-blown ’90s mini-festival with 5 tribute bands paying homage to the great bands of the decade.
Starting off the evening is Whatever Nevermind (formerly the “Grunge Puppets”), who tout themselves as the ultimate Nirvana tribute band based in Chicago. “We pay homage to one of the greatest bands of all time by capturing not only the sound but also the energy, power, and spirit of Nirvana during our live shows.”
Next up is Santeria, A Tribute to Sublime which delivers the Long Beach Sublime style with an attention to detail that wins over audiences immediately and leaves them inspired to come back for more.
Red Hot Chili Peppers fans won’t want to miss America’s premier Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute band Funky Monks playing all the RHCP radio favorites plus the great punk & funk classics that helped put the multi-Grammy winning Peppers on the map. Since formed in 2003, Funky Monks has performed at venues all across the U.S. as well as internationally.
The ultimate Stone Temple Pilots experience, Big Bang Baby is built to perform the most captivating, accurate live show since the real thing. The BBB stage show embodies the spirit, charisma, and musicianship of one of the last true American rock & roll acts and is one of the most iconic frontmen of our time.
