The enormously popular Christkindlmarket will return to Aurora’s RiverEdge this holiday season, opening Friday, November 17.
Visitors to the Alpine Village-like exhibition will experience the smell of roasted nuts, fresh pretzels, bratwurst and hot spiced wine, the sound of festive music, and the glimmer of sparkling Christmas ornaments, all in a cozy atmosphere . Visitors can explore vendor products from around the world, participate in special events, and enjoy the unique shopping experience.
The RiverEdge Christkindlmarket is one of three in the Chicagoland area. One is located at the Daley Plaza in downtown Chicago while the other is in Wrigleyville at Gallagher’s Way.
Many specials will take place at the Christkindlmarket Aurora as Twinkly Thursdays will make a comeback in 2023. From glassblowing demonstrations to typewriting poetry, scavenger hunts, and festive face-painting, there’s something for everyone! The market at RiverEdge Park will have a more festive atmosphere through the add-on of plenty of new décor and interactive photo ops. The Christkindlmarket Aurora is the only location where the German tradition, the Children’s Lantern Parade, will take place this season on November 26th and December 10th.
