Three women have been arrested after police observed them leaving an Ulta Beauty store in Naperville with allegedly stolen merchandise.

The women are suspects in two other thefts at Ulta Beauty facilities in the region.

On Wednesday at approximately 2pm, Naperville detectives and patrol officers conducted surveillance on Naperville’s two Ulta Beauty stores after being notified by area law enforcement that a group of individuals in a black Mercedes had committed retail thefts at two regional Ulta Beauty stores.

Detectives identifed the suspect vehicle at the Naperville Ulta Beauty located in the 2700 block of Aurora Avenue and observed three suspects exit the vehicle and enter the store. Detectives were able to confirm that these were the same suspects from the day’s earlier incidents in neighboring jurisdictions. The suspects were observed entering the Naperville Ulta Beauty and exiting the store with two baskets of allegedly stolen merchandise.

Officers blocked the suspect vehicle and arrested the three women, all from Chicago, charging each with (2) counts of felony retail theft and one (1) count of felony burglary.

One of the suspects was also charged with attempted criminal damage to government property and driving without a valid license/permit after hitting a Naperville Police vehicle while attempting to flee the scene.

All three were released on pre-trial release. Police continue to investigate the suspects’ possible involvement in other recent retail thefts. Additional charges are pending.
