A 47-year-old man was shot and killed on Aurora’s east side Thursday around noon.
Officers were called to the 100 block of North Calhoun Street at around noon Thurssday where they found a 47-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds in the rear yard of a residence.
Aurora Fire Department Paramedics transported the man to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Officers searched the immediate area for the offender, but the offender was not located.
The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
