Woman Hospitalized After Shooting In Elgin

A woman was hospitalized early Sunday morning with wounds apparently suffered in a shooting incident near the Metra station in Elgin.

At 12:24am Sunday morning, Elgin police officers responded to the 300 block of Ryerson Avenue for a reported shooting. Officers found an adult female with a non-life-threatening injury who was subsequently transported to an area hospital.

Detectives from the Major Investigations Division are actively investigating the incident.
