Geneva’s RiverPark Summer Concert Series continues this Sunday with the Motown sounds of Chez Butter.
Chez Butter will perform 6 pm, Sunday, July 23, at River Park, located at North River Lane and Peyton Street just north of State Street.
Chez Butter’s repertoire consists of classic and contemporary Motown, soul, R&B, and funk hits by artists like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Gnarls Barkley, Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, and many more.
The Chicago-based quintet’s line-up comprises seasoned professional musicians – vocalist Lester Jenkins, bassist Nathan Britsch, guitarist Jay Montana, drummer Pat Buzby, and keyboardist Ethan Sellers.
All shows are free of charge. People are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, blanket, or even a picnic dinner to enjoy a picturesque evening along the Fox River. In case of inclement weather, performances will be held at the United Methodist Church of Geneva Fellowship Hall, 211 Hamilton St.
