The Naperville Police Foundation Board of Directors and employees & personnel of the Naperville Police Department are announcing some complimentary events focused on community-building and public safety.

    June 1: 5:30-7:30pm

NPF+NPD Ice Cream Social at the Wagner Pavilion near the 95th Street Community Park (3109 Cedar Glade Drive; near the 95th Street Library) with treats generously donated by Andy’s Frozen Custard. Event updates, photos, discussions, and more are at https://fb.me/e/48mHNPfTo.

Napervillians who reside near that library or anywhere in Naperville are invited to come converse with NPD officers & staff and members of the Naperville Police Foundation Board of Directors, to ask questions and learn more about NPD’s efforts to promote safety in the community, all while reacquainting with neighbors and enjoying an early-summertime treat.

    June 15; 5:30-6:30pm

Naperville Police Department’s Cyber Security seminar for all residents in Naperville City Council Chambers inside of the Naperville Municipal Center (400 S. Eagle Street). Topics will include financial crimes including phishing and other scams; seniors, teenagers, and all are welcome. A Meet&Greet with Q&A time will be offered following the session.

The Naperville Police Foundation (www.napervillepolicefoundation.org) is the nascent group of public safety-minded citizens who have banded together in order to create and facilitate increased awareness, funding, and public rapport for the Naperville Police Department and its programs and tools.

The Board’s goals include furthering the Naperville Police Department’s community outreach, amplifying the positive messages of public safety and NPD successes, bolstering wellness programs for officers and their families, and building support funds for the NPD to continue forward-thinking investment in the future of law enforcement in Naperville.

NPF is grateful for the support of local individuals and organizations, including Mission BBQ (376 Rt. 59; mission-bbq.com), which has been a fervent supporter of the Naperville Police Department, local veterans organizations, and more.

More information, including bios of each Naperville Police Foundation Board member, can be found at www.napervillepolicefoundation.org.
