At approximately 4:53 A.M. Friday morning, Kane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 7N000 Block of Nancy Lane in unincorporated Campton Township for a burglary to a motor vehicle.

The initial investigation indicates that once the victim observed the burglary of a motor vehicle occurring, 911 was called and a confrontation ensued outside of the residence. One suspect fled the scene on foot while another suspect drove away in a white Chrysler Pacifica minivan.

The vehicle in question was located near Illinois Route 47 and Kenmar (southbound) and a short vehicle pursuit occurred. During the pursuit, the vehicle fled from the sight of the officers and later was located, abandoned in the parking lot of Fisherman’s Inn on Main Street, the nearest cross of Illinois Route 47 in Blackberry Township.

As of 1:30pm, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office has confirmation that one out of the two suspects have been apprehended.

With the apprehension of one female suspect, who has been transported to the Campton Hills Police Department, police expect that the identity of the second suspect will be made available to carry out the investigation.

At this time, charges may be pending by the Campton Hills Police Department.
