Join us in celebrating 50 years of Mawby with this Methode Champenoise Blanc de Blancs. Composed of Leelanau Peninsula Chardonnay & Riesling, which are hand harvested & whole-cluster pressed. Only the initial, gently pressed fractions of the juice are used for this cuvee. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks the young wines are blended with older reserve wines before being bottle fermented. The wine is then aged in tirage for 3 years before disgorging. This wine acknowledges our history with a dosage of 20 years old French oak aged grape spirits. This brut sparkling wine has flavors of caramel apples, brioche & delicate fruit, rich but fresh, is lively on the palate with a rich flavor from the cognac-like dosage & an elegant finish. Cheers to 50 years!
