    Elgin Police Seek Assistance In ID’ing Suspect In Armed Robbery

    The Major Investigations Division of the Elgin Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying the subject photographed below as they investigate an armed robbery that occurred on April 30 at 9:22 p.m., in the 500 block of Shady Oaks Drive.

    On Saturday evening, April 30, a masked man brandishing a firearm approached an unidentified number of adults at a Chase ATM in the 500 block of Shady Oaks Drive in Elgin.

    The masked subject approached the victims, displayed his firearm and demanded money. After having received an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled in an unknown direction.

    Elgin police met with the victims who described the suspect as a male Hispanic, approximately 20 years of age, 5’7”, 150 lbs, wearing a white mask, black jacket, black jogging pants, and red boxer shorts.

    The victims were not injured in this incident.
