An 18-year-old Batavia man was killed this morning as he apparently lost control of his vehicle on Route 25 and collided with a tree, according to a press release from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO).

William Marston was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The initial investigation by the KCSO indicated that Marston’s Volkswagen Jetta was traveling south on Route 25 between Bond Drive and Banbury Road in unincorporated Batavia and, for an unknown reason, left the roadway and struck a tree, killing Marston.

KCSO Detectives are continuing to investigate the crash.  Route 25 was closed between Banbury Rd. and Bond Dr. for about 3 hours while the crash was investigated.

Anyone with any information about this incident is urged to contact the Kane County Sheriff’s Office at (630) 232-6840.
