The Kane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a home invasion that occurred on Wednesday evening at approximately 9:54 PM in the 1600 block of Solfisburg Ave., unincorporated Aurora, IL, according to a press release from the Sheriff.
Deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call from a resident that stated three Latino men forced their way into the home. The offenders wore masks and were armed with handguns. The offenders unsuccessfully attempted to enter a safe inside the home and stole two guns from the residence before fleeing.
The resident was not injured. Some evidence was recovered at the scene.
