4 FOR THE WEEKEND
where we’re giving up Iron Man competitions for Lent!
So let’s get to it, starting with…..
Tonnnyyyyy!!!!!
If you get the reference in the headline, you know immediately who we’re talking about.
You should also seek help immediately.
Comedian and impressionist extraordinaire Frank Caliendo is coming to the Paramount in Aurora this Friday for one show only.
Frank was kind enough to sit down with us (well, digitally) to chat about his Chicago roots, hanging with Brett Favre in Hattiesburg, MS, Jay Leno and his upcoming performance, among other things.
Dude’s hilarious. You really must go.

DO “Sweat” It
(OK, that was beneath us.)
An entirely different kind of entertainment is also at the Paramount. “Sweat,” the first in Paramount’s BOLD Series of plays, is playing at the Copley Theatre, Paramount’s smaller venue right across the street from Paramount in the North Island Center.
If you miss it this weekend, it runs through April 24.

Yes, THAT Kiefer Sutherland
You’re reading that right.
Superstar actor Kiefer Sutherland has embarked on a musical career, which he’ll be showcasing Sunday at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles.
We were fortunate to catch up with Kiefer literally just before he went on stage in Annapolis recently, and we have to say, he’s one of the nicest guys we’ve ever had the pleasure of interviewing.
And his music is really interesting. Who’da thunk it? Born in London, raised in Toronto, and here he is a country music singer/songwriter. Crazy, right?
We get into that and more during our brief conversation. Check it out.

And Finally…
Starting Sunday, Batavia is hosting “Batavia Restaurant Madness Week.”
We realize this isn’t technically an “entertainment event,” but hell, we make the rules here so pipe down!
(Sorry.)
We thought this would be a nice adjunct to any other activities being planned. (Hint: Kiefer Sutherland plays the Arcada Sunday at 5.)
What’s unique about this “restaurant week” is that the participating restaurants each made videos highlighting their promotions for the week, so you can pick your poison ahead of time.
(We’re guessing that the city fathers and mothers of Batavia wouldn’t have phrased it quite that way.)

Another mixed bag in the weather department this weekend. (Duh! It’s Spring!) Today and tomorrow will be gray and rainy, with temps hovering in the low-to-mid 40s. Sunday, however, looks magnificent, with a lot of sun and a high in the low-60s. As ever, plan accordingly.
If, for whatever reason, none of our fabulous four events doesn’t pop your cork, we’ll be very insulted. However, all hope is not lost. Simply go to www.foxvalleymagazine.com and check out our A+E and Events sections for other ideas.
Finally, please do us a favor. We would be eternally grateful if you could share this with some of your unsuspecting family, friends and neighbors. We’d also appreciate some love on our Facebook page (see below). Ok, technically it’s a “LIKE,” but don’t be pedantic. Also, that’s actually two favors. We’ll owe you.
Thanks for reading. Until next time…OH! One more thing. If you’re reading this via the website and would like to have this emailed to you bright and early every Friday morning, please SUBSCRIBE!
