    Smoke & Ash

Dedicated to all the incredibly hard-working people harvesting agave and poblano peppers.

Whether it is a farmer, or jimador (harvest agave), both are individuals who are comprised of intelligence, grit and courage. Without these unsung heroes, Wildflower Squad would have no platform to convey our deep love for hospitality.

Enjoy this dynamic cocktail with friends and family, but please raise your glass in honor of those who reside behind the scenes.

~ 1.25 oz Teremana Blanco Tequila

~ .75 oz Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur

     ~ .5 oz lime juice

     ~ .25 oz agave

~ Pinch of black lava salt

Add ice and all ingredients, minus black lava salt, to your shaker tin, shake vigorously for 15 seconds and fine strain over clear ice into coupe, or rocks glass. Garnish with black lava salt.

    • I started off working for non-profits, then teaching at charter schools in marginalized communities throughout Chicago, Oakland, CA and Portland, Oregon. My passion for learning, teaching and history is undeniable, but I was struggling financially, so I began moonlighting as a bartender just to make ends meet, and unexpectedly fell madly in love with every aspect of the bar business. For my squad and I, it is about so much more than making a great cocktail. It’s about memories, music, history and sharing those moments, ensuring you embrace the present, reflect on the past and securing a bright future.
