An unidentified juvenile male was sent to a local hospital after being shot early this morning, the Elgin Police Department reported.
According to a police statement, at approximately 3:00 a.m. this morning several calls were received reporting the sounds of shots fired in the 200 block of Dupage Street in Elgin. When officers arrived on scene they found that a juvenile male victim had been struck by gunfire and was subsequently transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
