Bartlett Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian yesterday evening.
On Monday, September 13, 2021, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Bartlett police responded to the area of Lake Street and Park Boulevard to investigate a fatal hit-and-run motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
They discovered a 66-year-old male from Streamwood who was found lying in the roadway near the eastbound left turn lane. The man had suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, where he died as a result of his injuries.
Investigators believe the fleeing vehicle was likely a white colored Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Cherokee, GMC Savana, or Chevrolet Astro based on a broken driver’s side LED headlight that was recovered at the scene.
Lake Street was closed between Oak Avenue and Park Boulevard for approximately four hours while Bartlett Police Department investigated the motor vehicle crash.
